Sao Paulo president Julio Casares has responded to interest from Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest in ‘new Kaka’ Igor Gomes, telling Globo Esporte that the current situation is ‘hazy’. One year after West Ham United missed out on the Brazil U23 international, Gomes could be about to take the Jesse Lingard route; Slipping through David Moyes’ grasp before ending up on the banks of the Trent instead.

Brazilian football icon Kaka is confident that the five-time champions have what it takes to win the World Cup tournament later this year. Kaka talked about Brazil and World Cup glory while speaking with Gulf News at the Coca Cola Arena.
Kaka was one of several former football players who graced the occasion of the start of the World Cup trophy tour at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai earlier this month. The 2002 World Cup winner also backed Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Neymar to win the Golden Boot award at the tournament which starts in Qatar in November. Kaka was just 20 when he won the World Cup in 2002. He was a member of the Brazil squad that won the World Cup title by beating Germany 2-0 in the final with both goals scored by Ronaldo. KAKACONFIRMED FOR IBROX EVENT

Brazilian football icon Kaka has confirmed his participation at the Weekend of Legends event later this month. The event was organised to celebrate Scottish Premiership champions Rangers on the occasion of their anniversary. Rangers officials have lined up events to mark their 150th anniversary and the Weekend of Legends is one of those events. Kaka will join other football icons all over the world at the event billed to take place at Ibrox, which is the home stadium of Rangers, at the end of this month.
As revealed earlier, senior Rangers officials organised the match between Rangers Legends and World Legends tagged the Weekend of Legends event as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations. Kaka will be part of World Legends squad as the ex-Orlando City and Real Madrid star will join other football icons for the fan event which is also in support of the Luis Figo foundation. Chelsea loaneeFikayoTomori has revealed that AC Milan legend Kaka was one of the major reasons behind his transfer from the Premier League to the Italian Serie A. Nigerian-born England international FikayoTomori has joined Italian Serie A leaders AC Milan on loan for the rest of the season with the option to make the move permanent in the summer. FikayoTomori had to leave Chelsea for AC Milan on loan after he moved down the centre back pecking order with the arrival of Brazilian player Thiago Silva last summer.

Kaka was part of the u-20 Brazilian squad to the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina. Kaka and Brazil were knocked out of the competition by Ghana at the quarterfinal stage. He went on to make his first appearance for the senior team during the friendly match with fellow South American country Bolivia in January 2020.
